I suffer from exercise-induced asthmatic bronchitis. Going for walk causes me asthmatic attack soon after as I reach back home and I have no choice than to inhale a corticosteroid to help me breathe and so I am discouraged to go for walks as I want to take minimal medications. What is the solution for me and what should I do to keep myself in optimum health though my old age.
I had Asthmatic Bronchitis when I was 11. How is this going to affect future military enlistment? Is Asthmatic Bronchitis different than regular Asthma? I don't use an inhaler, I don't ever remember having an asthma attack, I can run a mile in nine minutes and be tired but not have breathing problems. What should I tell my recruiter? I don't want to be charged with fraudulent enlistment if by some chance if I do have asthma and have an attack in basic.
Can you explain to me further pls. Is Asthmatic Bronchitis in Children is more on Asthma? or Coughing?
A 1 year old patient who always cough, and was diagnosed to have an Asthmatic Bronchitis.
I went to the doctor( a pulmomologist) in Janurary 2007 for what I suspected was mild asthma. I take singulair and do an inhaler( 4X a day but lately i don't need it but once or twice) His diagnosis was allergic asthmatic bronchitis. When I asked him what it was he said " you have twichy lungs" This means nothing to me. I went online to try to get a better understanding and as far as I know I do have asthma. If it's asthma then why can't my doc say i have asthma? My mom says it'll go away... don't see that happening. Some days are good and some days aren't. Can someone telll me if I really do have asthma? By the way I've never had bronchitis. Have had allergies all my life but now when I'm exposed to a trigger the response is coughing, difficulty breathing and wheezing not sneezing, runny nose, watery itchy eyes or congestion. Could my allergies have "evloved" into asthma?
I have this horrible hoarse cough which hurts my chest. Every time I cough, I start letting out a series of coughs which make me lightheaded. I also taste blood which each cough. Does anyone know what this is?
I just got over a cold, so I know it's not that. I haven't seen any blood, I just taste it.
I guess it might help to add that this is NOT allergy related.
My Mom and I live in different states yet we had the exact same severe illness. I think it might have been the Swine Flu. The virus settled in our lungs and caused extreme inflammation. We were both put on steroids which allowed our bodies to heal our lungs and finally get over it. What do you think?
I am in the DEP and I just got diagnosed with asthmatic bronchitis.
I have never had asthma before..what do I do??
Should I tell my recruiter??
The doc said this doesn't mean I have asthma
At first it was the flu. I was prescribed tamaflu after the 4th week of being sick. It's gone now, as it is the 5th week I've been feeling bad. Now it's just asthmatic bronchitis. The cough just won't go away. I'm taking albuterol treatments every four hours. I can't sleep until I'm exhausted. What else can I do to get better?
I have never had asthma or any other resp illness, besides common colds.. I havent' been to a dr. for illness in about 5 years - I am extremely healthy. The other night, I took my daughter to a petting zoo and developed an immediate allergic reaction - runny nose, sinus congestion.. which had settled in my chest by the next morning.
My Dr. said he didn't know what the He## I got into, but that it kicked my butt... LOL.. and that he couldn't write that down as a diagnosis, so he was writing down "asthmatic bronchitis" I asked him straight if that meant I now had asthma, and he said, oh, no, not unless you develop more instances of this..
But, when I look it up, all it points back to is asthma.. can anyone explain this to me in more detail?
