  9. asthma, peak flow & oxygen?

    May 2, 2010, 10:49 pm
I have asthma. I haven't had too many "attacks" since moving away from the allergen (dog) ten years ago, so I never complained about it to my doctor. The other day we did a peak flow machine for the heck of it. I scored pretty low. I'm on advair now & my peak flow isn't any better. That's another issue. Here's my question: If I'm not having attacks (wheezing, coughing), is a low peak flow still necessarily bad? Am I oxygen deprived? I should add that I feel tired all the time & have all sorts of other health problems and have been sent from specialist to specialist for the last 10 years (mostly neuros and psychiatrists). TIA
